This listing is a nice little single shot, break action .410 gauge shotgun. It was manufactured by Savage Arms under the Springfield brand and designated the model 944 Series A. This shotgun is an external hammer-fired and has a 3" chamber in a 26" barrel with an integral Full choke. The side-lever release design is unusual these days but it works just fine and adds a little panache to what would be an otherwise ordinary gun. For someone looking for a light recoiling, easy to use, very reasonably priced shotgun this is a great choice! No factory box or papers. Proof Tested and minor scratches along the barrel.
