Smooth grey brown patina with some light pitting.
Wood has a crack above the trigger guard
(please look at all of the photos)
with wear and typical bruises.
U.S. troops used the Springfield Trapdoor 20ga Shotgun
for foraging for fresh provisions of small game to feed the troops
