Springfield Armory-1876 Trapdoor Carbine
Description: With a highly visiable cartouche, this carbine was born in Jan-Mar 1876, and built in 1880. It is an 2nd Allin conversion chambered in 45-70 government. The mechanicals are all excellent and the wood well oiled with age sctrached. /there are no gouges,cracks or crack in the wood. For its age the wood is very good and the metal ahs slight freckling on the recie and one or to freckles on the barrel The rifling is solid ,bright and shiny. The barrel crown is excellent. The sliding ring is in great condition. Proevenance: The rifle was purchased from Dr. Al Frasca, a gentleman and expert about all things trapdoor. I'm not dealer. Payment can be a certified check or money order. The rifle is an antique and doe not require an FFL.There is no inspection period.
