SPRINGFIELD ARMORY m1 garand .30-06 SPRG
Description: Guns Listing ID: 580483 this m1 has a nice stock with a good finish and a good finish on the receiver and barrel, there is a crack in the for end wood but the rest of the rifle is in great shape. it also has a Winchester trigger group Approximate date of manufacture: December 1941 (the monthly cumulative serials on the Springfield Armory/NPS production table show the last rifle for November 1941 was 401,529 and for December 1941 was 429,811, so 419,084 falls in December 1941) That places this rifle right at the very start of the U.S. involvement in World War II (Pearl Harbor was December 7, 1941). Springfield Armory was the principal producer in that block of serial numbers and was ramping up wartime production at that time. Because Winchester made fewer Garands (and some Winchester parts with early tooling features are relatively uncommon), an original Winchester trigger group that’s matching to the rifle can add collector interest and sometimes price premium — condition and match-to-receiver matter far more than the mere maker mark SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Manufacturer: SPRINGFIELD ARMORY Model: m1 garand Caliber Info: .30-06 SPRG Condition: Used - Non-Certified Barrels: 22" BARREL Action: SEMI AUTOMATIC |
