Pre-World War II US SPRINGFIELD M1903 .30-06 Bolt Action C&R MILITARY Rifle “10-35” DATED Barrel with LEATHER SLING
Description: Pre-World War II US SPRINGFIELD M1903 .30-06 Bolt Action C&R MILITARY Rifle “10-35” DATED Barrel with LEATHER SLING Here we present a C&R U.S. Springfield Model 1903 Bolt Action Rifle, made in 1934 at the Springfield Arsenal. This rifle had a production run from 1903 through 1949 with over 3,000,000 produced. The M1903 Springfield, formally the United States Rifle, is an American five-round magazine fed, bolt-action service repeating rifle, used primarily during the first half of the 20th century. It was officially adopted as a United States military bolt-action rifle on June 19, 1903, and saw service in World War I. It was officially replaced as the standard infantry rifle by the faster-firing semi-automatic eight-round M1 Garand starting in 1936. However, the M1903 Springfield remained in service as a standard issue infantry rifle during World War II since the U.S. entered the war without sufficient M1 rifles to arm all troops. It also remained in service as a sniper rifle from 1936 through 1975, which included World War II, the Korean War, and even in the Vietnam War. It still remains popular as a civilian firearm, historical collector's piece, a competitive shooting rifle, and as a military drill rifle. The overall condition is near fine. Armory refurbished with good finish. The action is excellent and the bore is in fine condition: bright with sharp rifling. The walnut stock is solid and shows good Ordnance inspection markings. The original sling is in great shape. This one has a front sight protector. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 24 inches. Caliber: 30-06 Springfield Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1700 #233437 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
