Description: U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1873 Trapdoor in .45-70. Manufactured in 1874. Modified at some pointed into "cadet" configuration with a 29 3/4" Barrel. "SWP" over "1886" Cartouche on the left wrist of the wood stock. "U" marks on both barrel bands. "U S" over "Springfield" next to Eagle on the Lock Plate. "VP" with Eagle and "P" on barrel. "Model 1873" marked on the breech. Serial number marked on reciever. Buttpate marked "US" with a "6" Rack Number. Includes Bayonet w/ Sheath & Leather Frog. This is a consignment item.
