"Springfield 1903 International Match .30-06 caliber rifle. Ultra-Rare heavy barrel International Match swiss style butt plate, adjustable forward sling swivels and thumb rest. These guns were built to the individual shooter’s specifications (see Brophy book, Springfield 1903 Rifles). This rifle has the Hammerli style model 1930 International rifle stock (Brophy p. 134). The heavy 30" barrel tapers from 1.25:" at the breech to .75" at the muzzle. The bolt features a reversed safety and headless cocking piece. The receiver sight is a Lyman 48C. The action functions perfectly. This rare International Match rifle, formerly in the esteemed Peter Wainwright collection, would be the center piece of any Model 1903 collection. This is a single shot rifle. Overall excellent condition with a small chip missing at the rear of the cut off. Don’t miss this one. They are very rarely offered.
