"U.S. Springfield Model 1903 Bolt Action Rifle .30-06 ""Pearl Harbor"" 12-41 dated barrel (L2026-07430)
Description:
"Serial no. 815483. Manufactured in 1918 by Springfield Armory ,chambered in .30-06 Springfield,24"" round barrel marked “S.A./Flaming Bomb/12-41." The bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The rifle was refurbished and repurposed for continued U.S. military service as America entered WWII, as indicated by the later 1941-dated Springfield barrel. The rifle remains in overall very good condition, showing light handling impressions on the stock consistent with military use and storage. A very attractive example of a U.S. service rifle that likely saw use spanning both WWI and WWII. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
