Description: The Springfield M1903 is an American five-round bolt-action service rifle, used primarily during the first half of the 20th century. The top of the receiver on this example is marked "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY / MODEL 1903. / 1092562". The top of the barrel is marked "S A / 12 – 18" with an ordnance bomb in between. The safety is marked "SAFE / READY" and the magazine cutoff is marked "ON / OFF". The top of the bolt handle is marked "WL / 3.". The bottom of the bolt handle is punch marked. The barrel band is marked "U". The bayonet lug is marked "H". The front sight is a pined blade on a raised base. The rear sight is a "U" notched blade attached to a fully adjustable ladder marked from "3-27". The stock is a two piece hardwood stock with a straight grip, metal nose cap with bayonet lug, barrel band, two sling loops, and a metal buttplate with hinged door for storage. The bottom stock wrist is marked "77 over a circle "P". The left side of the stock, behind the magazine cutoff is marked "D.A.L" in a square. Overall this rifle remains in very good + surplus condition. .30-06 Springfield Curio/Relic: Yes Chambers: Bolt action. Metal Condition: Very Good surplus condition.
