 WARNER SWASEY  WORLD WAR ONE MILITARY SNIPER RIFLE.  U.S. SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1903 BOLT ACTION RIFLE. SER# 689468, CALIBER 30-06. SA BARREL DATED 7-17 WITH A VERY GOOD BORE.          ( BRIGHT , GOOD RIFLING . SOME LIGHT MINOR FROST , GAUGES A 2.5 ). METAL SHOWS A VERY THIN GRAY / BROWN PATINA. WOOD IS ALL SOLID WITH FAINT J.F.C. CARTOCHE ON THE LEFT SIDE.  COMES WITH A WARNER SWASEY TELESCOPIC MUSKET SIGHT. OPTICS ARE HAZY WITH NO CROSS HAIRS . A NEED PIECE OF HISTORY . 


Warner & Swasey (W&S) Model 1908 and 1913 scopes were issued with M1903 Springfield rifles during WWI, with serial numbers stamped internally and sometimes on the mounting bracket. Only about 1,500 of the 5,750+ purchased scopes were used on rifles, with many also used on M1909 Benet-Mercie machine guns. 
Key Details on W&S Scope Identification:

• Models: The 1908 (6x) and 1913 (5.2x) were used.
• Serial Numbers: Scopes are generally numbered in the 1–500 range for Canadian models, while U.S. models have various serials (e.g.#702 found on a 1908 model).
• Markings: Look for "Warner & Swasey Co.", the model year (1908 or 1913), and serial numbers on the mounting bracket, which often matched to the rifle.
• Canadian Usage: 500 M1913 scopes were specifically used on Ross

It is a requirement that every used firearm is inspected by a qualified gunsmith before firing. RETURN POLICY- All firearms come with a 3-day non firing , non messing with ( turning srews ,taking apart,removing parts, scoping. firing, cleaning or messing with in anyway) inspection/return privilege.Inspection is based on a visual review of the gun to confirm the gun is in the condition stated. In the case of a return, buyer pays all shipping charges & if paid for with a credit card buyer absorbs the 3% credit card charges . So please ask questions BEFORE you bid.
