"U.S. Springfield Model 1840 Musket (AL4970)

Description:
"U.S. Springfield Model 1840 musket. Has been reconverted back to original flintlock configuration. Metal has gray and brown patina. Lock plate is dated 1841. Barrel tang has been re-stamped to match the lock. Stock has been lightly sanded with minor bumps and dings. Faint cartouche outline is visible.
