"U.S. Springfield Model 1855 rifled musket .58 caliber (AL9855) CONSIGNMENT

NSN, made in 1860, .58 caliber, 40"" round barrel. Barrel is a light grey patina with most of the oxidation visible at the bolster and nipple. Beautiful Eagle motif is stamped on compartment door with ""U.S./Springfield"" forward of hammer. ""1860"" stamped rear of lock plate. Stock lightly sanded with expected usage and handling wear visible. Bore is good with strong rifling remaining. Action holds at half and full cock. Consignment
