1884 Springfield Trapdoor Carbine good bore, 1873 sights, .45-70
Description:
Here is a gun that has some questionable ancestry. It is a nice condition carbine with an 1873 carbine-marked sight but the breech says "1884". Good bore. Serial number would make this an 1879 vintage so apparently the breechblock was replaced later in this gun's life. Repaired crack in the stock, pictured. It is a carbine stock, not a cut-down rifle. It looks the part and should be a good shooter but I'm selling it cheap because of its ancestry. $40 shipping and insurance to your home via priority mail in most states.
SOLD
