model 1816 Harpers Ferry musket

Description:
Model 1816 Harpers Ferry flintlock musket in overall good condition with some obvious alterations made over its many years. Barrel is 39.5 inches long having been cut back and front barrel band moved also. Original ramrod has the tip broken off. Lockplate marked with eagle over U.S. and Harpers Ferry over 1818. Stock is sound without any fractures. Knob on top of flint screw is broken off. Vent is well centered with the pan and these parts all seem to be original. This is still a goodlooking U.S. flintlock at a fraction of the cost of a 100% complete model.
