Pre-owned U.S. Springfield 1878 in .45-70 Government. Serial number dates the rifle to 1883. Original U.S. stamped gun. Bore is sharp and free of any corrosion. In overall good order exhibiting a scattered pitting throughout, wear from honest use upon the finish; commensurate with age and handling. Mechanism is crisp and appears to be mechanically sound.
