U.S. Springfield Model 1842 Musket. Beautiful U.S. Springfield Model 1842 Musket. First of the percussion models to come out of the Springfield Armory. Metal has original armory bright finish. Lock is dated 1855. Stock shows minor handling wear. Cartouche is on left side. The model 1842 saw plenty of action in the beginning of the Civil War.
