US SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1879 TRAPDOOR RIFLE IN 45-70
Description: Cut down 22 inch round barrel chambered in 45-70 caliber with a good shiny bore. Barrel is a light brown patina with some blue in the protected areas. Hooded front sight and Carbine ladder rear. Frame has good blue while the side plate has about half blue remaining. Grooved trigger. Crisp action. Wood has been cut down as well and has a visible cartouche. A good example of a carbine length Springfield Trapdoor rifle that would be good for reenactments. 115k serial range gun.
