Description:
"Serial no. 2067618. Manufactured October 1943 by Springfield Armory, chambered in .30-06 Springfield,24"" round barrel marked “1 S-A-3-43." The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The bolt is marked “D28287-12SA/S11," and the receiver is stamped “B6A-88/D28291 30." The operating rod remains uncut and is marked “D35382 9 SA." The rifle retains its Type III lock bar rear sight. The trigger assembly is correctly marked “SA." The stock remains in very good condition, showing minimal handling impressions and retaining a strong “S.A./G.A.W." cartouche alongside the ordnance crossed cannons, with a circle “P" proof also present. This is a strong and correct example of a WWII production M1 Garand with desirable original features. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
