Springfield Armory U.S. Rifle, Cal. .30, M1 Garand, serial number 5320957, built on a Springfield Armory receiver from the mid-1950s and fitted with a Springfield Armory barrel dated February 1963, bearing standard military markings and proof. The rifle is configured with National Match–style components including a front sight marked “NM 062,” barrel, and op rod, and has Springfield Armory–marked parts throughout, including the bolt, the trigger housing marked 6528290-SA (inner surface with lightly scribed "0957") and an operating rod marked 7790722-SA. Springfield Armory stock with disassembly showing an enlarged barrel channel and three sections of professionally inlayed glass bedded inserts for greater stability. Also included is a greensling, GI cleaning kit, and a sewing kit with tool stored in the buttstock compartment. Accompanied by U.S. Army correspondence / paperwork referencing a .30 caliber National Match rifle with this serial number.
