Description:
General George S. Patton once called the M1 Garand " The greatest battle implement ever devised", and very few people can argue with this assessment. This Example, with a receiver made in 1943, is in excellent overall condition. it would appear that this rifle received a full rebuild some time in in the 1950's, as the barrel is marked S-A-3-51, the stocks are also lacking in wear or military cartouches. A very interesting part of the rebuild is the addition of the "Arctic" style safety, which is an often sought after component for rifles used in competition.
