Springfield M1 Garand w/1946 modifications and double cartouched stock!
Description:
Original WW2 M1 Garand after changes/upgrades ordered in 1946. In the white, minty barrel dated 11/46. Post lockbar T105 rear sight. Post WW2 oprod with relief cut. The wild part is the absolutely original ultra rare double inspector cartouches on the left flat of the stock. Flanking the large crossed cannons stamp, on the left is a SA over GAW in a square. On the right is the SA over SHM stamp. The stock also has the tiny crossed cannon stamp of the butt of the pistol grips, and a clean serriffed P in a circle inside the grip. No fakery here- stone original. Generically, all of the small steel parts are of late manufacture. 19-SA bolt. Wood is in excellent condition and really nicely color matched.
