WW2 WWII SPRINGFIELD U.S. M-1 OR M1 GARAND .30-06 RIFLE RECEIVER. CIRCA SEPT, 1944.
Description:
WW2 WWII SPRINGFIELD U.S. M-1 OR M1 GARAND .30-06 RIFLE RECEIVER. CIRCA SEPT, 1944. Serial number "3,126,XXX" with "U.S. Rifle/Cal. .30 M1/ Springfield Armory" address. Stripped of all it's parts but with exceptional barrel threads and knurling for battle sight. All other edges un-filed and excellent. Arsenal re-parkerized but with crisp address and leg stamps. No weld marks either so NOT a refurb dewat. Receiver leg marking with "B 3 3 B" and under that "D 28291-35". No dings or battle damage and only minor pitting to undersides where wood would normally touch under cal/address only (see photo). With excellent barrel threads this stripped receiver is ready to have a late WW2 complete rifle built around it or just a shooter. Came from old collection of Gas Trap Garands and similar early M-1's so from a guy who knew what he was buying and only chose the best.
SOLD
