"U.S. Springfield Model 1886 Experiential carbine .45-70 (AL1972)

Description:
"Serial No. 340164, circa 1886, .45-70, 24""round proofed barrel. Metal is thinning to a grey patina, breech has traces of case coloring. Bore is bright with light frosting visible in the grooves. rear sight is correctly marked with ""XC"". Stock has light handling marks visible, comes with cleaning kit. Action functions correctly. Only 1,000 of these experimental carbines were manufactured.
