Springfield Model 1898-Sporter 30-40 Krag-Jorgensen

Description:
Presented for sale you will find a Springfield Model 1898 chambered in 30-40 Drag-Jorgensen. This rifle was produced on 1901 and later sporterized.

A “Herter’s” compensator was installed on the muzzle. For y’all that can remember Herter’s, I sure it was guaranteed to reduce recoil by at least half, double velocity, and increase accuracy by 75%.

A Marples rear sight was installed.

Included in the listing is the pictured canvas military style sling.

I found the bean bag in the stock hopping to find at least a thousand dollar bill. The combination screwdriver was wrapped in the bag. That was put in the back in the days when people saved everything.

The action is fully functional and solid.

This rifle will ship to the lower 48 via FedEx Ground for $24.95.
