US Springfield Model 1896 Krag Carbine, Serial # 691xx Rough Rider Era

For your consideration. A guaranteed, US Springfield, model 1896,  Krag Rough Rider era saddle ring cavalry carbine. Serial # 69156, 30/40 Cal..Mechanically excellent. All features work as they should. This 1896 carbine is correct and complte. All the parts correct. The front  sight is a replacement matched to a carbine/rifle sight. I shot a paper plate at 100 yds... up to the new owner to change. The bore is bright, without any pitting or frosting Shows some wear, overal rated 7/10. Most of the metal finish is worn away form being in and ot of a horse mounted scabbard. The stock is the correct saddle ring carbine stock, with a faint 1897 cartouche. The stock also has a Springfield Armory circle P fireing proof. The stock wrist has been slightly narrowed by the issued Cavalry trooper for secure and accurate handling....historicly accurate. Oveall a rare saddle ring carbine that served one of the Cavalry units of the Spqnish American War
