"U.S. Springfield Model 1879 Trapdoor Rifle (AL7394)

Excellent 45 Government caliber (45-70) bore with bright, strong rifling. 1879 rear sight. 85% blue turning brown. Very good wood with small chip at barrel tang and barely visible cartouche outline. Rear band spring and cleaning rod are absent. With modern sling. Action functions correctly. Good example of an Indian Wars gun.
