Serial number 481997 U.S. Springfield Model 1884 trapdoor rifle chambered in 45-70 with a 32.5"" barrel. Rifle is cut out for the experimental Barringer rear sight. Overall good condition with handling wear noted on the stock. Bore is bright with some areas of frosting visible. Nice rare trapdoor variant.
