"U.S. Springfield Model 1888 Ramrod Bayonet Trapdoor Rifle – .45-70 (59469)
Description:
"Serial No. 514583, manufactured in 1890, chambered in .45-70 Government with a 32.5"" round barrel. The bore is excellent, retaining a bright mirror finish with strong rifling. The barrel has aged to a smooth brown patina, while factory markings on the breech and lock plate remain sharp and clearly defined. The stock is in very good condition and displays a handsome 1891-dated cartouche. The right side of the stock is marked “41/34," adding to its period character. Overall presentation is clean and well preserved for a late Trapdoor Springfield. Action functions correctly.
