Description:

U.S. Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor .45-70 caliber carbine. This beautiful carbine comes with some history to it. This is a starred carbine, which means it was sent back to the Springfield Armory to be cleaned and any repair needed from service used possibly out West. Barrel has gray patina, bore has strong rifling. Stock is in great shape with a cartouche dated 1881, which is correct for a starred carbine. This is wonderful carbine to have.
