It is estimated that just over 3422 of these Cadet model 1869's were produced in 1871-72 only and this has to be one of the finer remaining examples extent. It has all the correct features including the 1870 Eagle head stamped breech block, 1863 dated lock plate, 3-groove 29 5/8" barrel with two barrel bands. Lovely walnut stock with bold ESA cartouche on side. Barrel finished in the white with some nice age patina and never cleaned or polished. Blackened Receiver and breechblock. Case colored hammer and lock plate now metal color. Mint bore. . US marked butt plate and bands HDR Stamped behind trigger guard. Serial number 1625.
