29-1/2 inch barrel is a toning grey. US MODEL 1873 dated breechblock. Receiver and hammer are aged dull case colors. Lockplate is marked "U.S. Springfield". Action is crisp and strong. Very good bore. Walnut stock is overall good condition with various handling dings and mars and one crack rear of the action on the left. A "SWP 1890" cartouche is worn but still visible as well as an "A" underside and an "H" at the base. Sights include the bayonet stud sight at the front and correct Buffington rear sight. Sling swivels and correct slotted head ramrod are present. This is a nice little Trapdoor.
