U.S. Springfield Model 1816 Converted Musket. A very nice model 1816 musket that has been concerted to percussion using the cone conversion. Metal has light gray patina with some surface oxidation. Lock plate and barrel are dated 1839. Wood is good with some minor handling wear. Faint cartouche outlines are visible. These 1816’s saw action at the beginning of the Civil War!
