US Springfield 1884 Trapdoor .45-70 US 23 25th

Up for sale I am offering this nice example of a US Springfield 1884 Trapdoor rifle in .45-70 Government. I have attempted to take high quality photos of it so that you can be confident in your bid. Please look closely at the photos. I believe the serial number puts this as being manufactured in 1892. The serial number is 536716. This rifle has the numbers "23" and "25" in the stock as well as the metal buttplate is marked "US 23 25th". The blue on the lock is worn but the barrel and rest of the gun is very good. This rifle has the rod type bayonet/ cleaning rod. This is a C&R. Please have a competent gunsmith inspect this rifle before attempting to fire it as it is over 130 years old.  I reserve the right to end this listing if it sells in my shop.
