Trapdoor Springfield rifle. Marking on the trapdoor is 1873. Serial number shows 54k. I think there is a number missing and don't know the actual serial number. This has the later sight and also a hooded front sight. Cleaning rod is present. Wood is not in too bad of shape. A few dings here and there. Also some one used a pocket knife to put 1929 and an arrow on the side of the stock. Appears like the frame, trapdoor and side plate were refinished years ago. It has aged back. The bbl has pretty decent blue on it. Bore is Good to VG. A real trapdoor for not a lot of money.
