1944 Springfield M1 Garand
Description: This is a nice example of a Springfield M1 Garand. The receiver dates to early 1944. The barrel is SA marked and dated 1954. The end of the barrel has an "NM" National Match marking. The stock is "P" proofed and has a Springfield cartouche. There is also what appears to be a rack number on the wrist. The metal parts appear to have been arsenal-refurbished. There is not much actual finish loss, but there are areas of minor pitting under the finish, especially on the op rod and on the receiver. The op rod appears to have a black painted finish. The wood stock is very nice overall, but there is minor bruising throughout and a small crack in the upper handguard where it meets the receiver.
