The Stevens ""Favorite"" rifle was manufactured from 1894 to 1935. This rifle has the standard 22"" part round/part octagon barrel which has an excellent, bright bore. The barrel is a smooth brown/blue. It is equipped with a front sight with rotating beads and a single leaf fold-up rear sight. The barrel has the standard J. STEVENS A. & T. CO.CHICOPEE FALLS.MASS.U.S.A.PAT.APR.17.94 markings. It is also is marked 22 LONG RIFLE. While this gun is a Favorite, it is not marked as such. Not all were marked. The action is bright with no original finish. The stocks are very good with some finish wear but no cracks or chips. The buttplate is a replacement. The action functions correctly. This should be a good shooter.
