A true piece of Americana, this J. Stevens Little Scout 14-1/2 is a classic single-shot “boy’s rifle” from the early 1900s. Built with the simple rolling breechblock action, these rifles were often the very first firearm for young shooters, prized for their ruggedness and ease of use. While this example shows some finish wear with little blueing, forearm and stock has original finish, it remains complete and functional — a perfect addition for collectors of early Stevens firearms or anyone who appreciates the humble beginnings of American rimfire rifles. A budget-friendly slice of history with plenty of character. I tried to show all dings, dents, and scratches in photos.
