Stevens 1915 Favorite Rolling Block Rifle
This rifle in a Stevens 1915 Favorite in 22 LR, and has a 24” round barrel standard walnut stocks square noctched rear sight and a Rocky Mountain front sight. It has a checkered hard rumber buttplate with scrolled Stevens accross it.
Condition:
The bore is bright and in very good bore showing some scattered light pitting and strong rifling throughout. The metal surfaces retain about 70% original blue with the receiver toning largely to gray-brown and the barrel retaining generous blue, showing scattered handling marks and high-edge silvering throughout. The smooth hardwood furniture rates very good plus and shows scattered light dings and handling marks from use, The stocks have had a light coat of finish added at some point, and the checkered black buttplate is in excellent condition. This rifle is equipped standard open barrel sight and and Rocky Mountain front sight. The barrel and tang markings remain crisp, and the action functions well chambers and eject a round correctly. This little rifle should make an excellent single shot .22 for general use, target shooting, or small nuisance varmints.
