Stevens 22 caliber rifle.
Description: This is a Stevens Armory 414 that was made from 1908 to 1932. The 1910 U.S.Olympic Shooting team brought home the gold with these 414s. This came from the factory with a scope and heavy barrel. This came with receiver, lever, hammer and block case hardened colored that is thin with an updated walnut #3 Schuetzen stock. This gun has I would say 80% of the bluing intact with most under where the scope was mounted missing. So,I was wondering if it was even blued under the scope. Barrel rifling is nice. I shot the gun yesterday and it didn't eject the spent shell case,so I cleaned it and I'll try to shoot it again to see if cleaning helped. It does have a hairline crack on the bottom of the stock, but the gun is tight and shoots fine. A nice collectable Stevens that most people would be delighted to add to their collection. PS I have the rifle firing and ejecting the shell casing perfectly. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
