Stevens Favorite Rifle, .22 LR Cal.  Antique, c.1893 

Description:
         SOLD......This Stevens Favorite Rifle has an unusually heavy barrel, ¾” at the muzzle. The bore has strong rifling but is dark, as usually found on these old Black Powder rifles. It has a silver blade front sight and a broken rear sight, an easy replacement. The metal surfaces have a dark flat black appearance with no corrosion or pitting anywhere. The Barrel and Receiver have matching serial numbers. The receiver shows dull case hardening which may come back with proper cleaning. The buttstock is cracked along its length on the left side, the crack does not penetrate the thickness of the wood. There are no missing pieces or splinters, I think an easy repair. With a little bit of effort and TLC I believe this could become your Favorite, Favorite.
