Description: NEW LOWER PRICE - Stevens Ideal No. 414 Armory Model Rifle with Sabin Riflescope This Stevens Ideal No 414 has a, 26” round barrel and is equipped with dual target bases which mount a set of unmarked period rings, the rear with Winchester-type tension spring. The rings support a period E. C. Sabin riflescope serial #92 The scope is about 6 power or so and features a thick single post with medium crosshair reticle, A nickeled ocular cover is also attachedt. Standard smooth walnut buttstock and long forend It also features a grooved black hard rubber buttplate Condition: This rifle is in nice condition overall. The barrel has a bright near excellent bore and the surface of the barrel retains about 95% original blue showing some mild thinning under bright light and most of the loss due to some patches of light oxidation and pinprick pitting at the muzzle.The Sabin riflescope retains about 90% original blue showing some thinning and a few small areas of light pitting. The optics rating is fair with moderate dust and cloudiness in the field of view, but details are readily discernible. The action retains about 60% original cyanide case-hardened colors showing some overall muting, The hammer and breechblock show thinning original blue while the barrel band and sling swivels retain a healthy amount of bright blue. The walnut buttstock and long forend remain in very good plua to very fine condition retaining strong oil finish and showing some scattered light dings and handling marks. The grooved black hard rubber buttplate shows some light dings, there are a set of vacant holes behind the barrel band, the receiver sight hole and tang sight holes are vacant and the front sight is a target globe with bead-on-post.
