Built on the famously smooth two-lug Mannlicher action with the iconic butterknife bolt handle, it features double set triggers, a side safety, cocking indicators, and Steyr’s detachable rotary magazine system. It is chambered in the classic and powerful 9.3x62, making it an ideal rifle for European driven game or African plains hunting. The 20" hammer-forged barrel is fitted with an island standing express rear sight and a ramped, hooded front blade. Included is a gloss Mannlicher 2-7x40 scope with duplex reticle, mounted in Steyr quick-detach mounts that return to zero reliably. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, and the action is mechanically excellent throughout. The satin gray action is masterfully factory engraved with full coverage deep relief oak leaf scroll over a punch-dot background. The left rear ring displays two elk in exquisite detail—one downed, the other bugling—an outstanding example of Steyr’s engraving artistry. Complementing the metalwork is an exhibition-grade full-length Mannlicher stock with Monte Carlo cheekpiece, carved from fine European walnut. The right side is adorned with a deep relief-carved bull elk, while the wrist and forend feature bold oak leaf carving. Other deluxe appointments include a steel forearm cap, rosewood grip cap with white diamond inlay, rosewood forend tip, white spacers, and factory vent recoil pad. Sling swivel bases are installed. Length of pull is 14.5" over the pad. Overall weight is 8 lbs 1 oz with scope, 6 lbs 14 oz without. Comes with three original Steyr 3-round rotary magazines. Condition is excellent, retaining nearly all original finish on both metal and wood, with only the faintest signs of handling. The scope optics remain bright and clear.
