Styer makes one of their best bolt action rifles even better with the Scout MK II. This lightweight and accurate rifle replaces the weaver rail with a continuous picatinny rail, and features M-LOK attachment points on the bottom of the forend. The Scout MK II also features a precision machined one-piece aluminum bedding block and housing for enhanced accuracy.
The idea of a \"scout rifle\" came about in the early 1980s by Jeff Cooper. Cooper saw the potential of a versatile, lightweight, and general propose rifle with good accuracy and is chambered in a heavy hitting cartridge, similar to that of a \"guide rifle\". Just like its predecessor, the Steyr Scout MK II meets every requirement for this concept marvelously and makes an excellent companion for backpacking in bear territory or for the next hunt.
