Excellent Thompson Center Hawken 45 Cal Percussion BP Rifle

Description:
Serial #120390, .45 Caliber black powder percussion, 28 inch octagonal barrel with a near excellent bore. This is the Hawken model rifle manufactured in Rochester, NH by Thompson Center Arms. It is in excellent condition retaining virtually all, 97-98% original blue finish on the barrel and receiver with the hammer and lock plate showing bright, vibrant case colors with some mild surface corrosion around the nipple. The brass furniture remains bright with a few tiny tarnish spots. The walnut stock rates excellent with some very slight handling marks. And the original brass tipped ramrod rates excellent. It is equipped with an adjustable rear sporting sight and has double set triggers. With TC long out of business these very popular percussion hunting guns are getting hard to find, especially the .45 caliber in this high condition. Antique
