Description:
    A solid Thompson Center Hawken wirh a .50 cal., 28” octagon barrel with a bright excellent bore. The barrel retains blue, now fading to thin places. Very clean,sharp nipple,and  very light high edge wear and some fine speckles of light oxidation staining near the muzzle and breech. The lock retains strong case-hardened colors and the brass mountings have aged to a warm mustard patina with a few small spots of light tarnish. The American walnut halfstock with left side cheekpiece rates very good  with a few light field  handling marks.. The rifle is equipped with functioning double set triggers, the original sights are intact, . The action remains strong and crispes with a leather sling, and custom brass ram-rod. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith  before  shooting.
