Description:
  With an early serial #2742, and possibly a Sharon or Green Mountain barrel, this 54 Cal, with longer than usual production length of 31” octagon barrel with a bright, clean, shiny,  excellent rifled bore. The barrel and triggerguard retain 96% original finish with high edge silvering . The lock and hammer retain 99% original case-hardening with the walnut stock rating near excellent displaying a few very small handling marks from field use but very nice condition. The rifle features functioning set triggers and includes the original ramrod oak wood and steel tip.About as good as you can fiind one like this. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith  before  shooting.
