A very fine .45 Cal Cherokee out and try some patched round ball, patched RB is a whole new game to me, according to my TC manual it shows a starting load of 40 Grains 3F with a Muzzle Velocity of 1,894 fps and 518 Ft. Lbs of muzzle energy. The Max load listing is 60 Grains of 3F with a Muzzle velocity of 2,150 Fps and 667 Ft. Lbs of muzzle energy.. With a serial #K2434, 45 cal., 24” octagon barrel with bright excellent bore. The metal surfaces retain 98% blue along the barrel, with smoky case-hardened colors on the hammer, lock and triggers with the brass hardware toned to a pleasing ochre color patina. There is scattered light fine oxidation staining and a few minor handling marks and the rifle has an adjustable rear sight with blade front. The smooth walnut stock rates excellent with a few minor handling marks visible. A fine example with brass tipped hardwood ramrod included. A very scarce gun to find on the loose.
