<<<<SOLD>>>>A very good shooter this .45 cal.,T.C with a 28'' octagon barrel with a mostly bright about very good plus bore showing some light oxidation in the grooves of the strong rifling. The barrel and barrel tang of this attractive rifle retain about 95-96% custom applied brown finish with some light high edge silvering, a couple small spots on the top of the barrel toning to gunmetal gray, some scattered small areas of light oxidation staining and a few light handling marks overall. The lockplate and hammer retain 99% original case-hardened colors with a few speckles of light oxidation and the brass furniture have aged to a very lightly-tarnished ochre patina. The smooth walnut halfstock with left side cheekpiece rates very fine to near excellent with a few scattered light handling marks from field use. The barrel is sighted with a beaded blade front and fully-adjustable ''U'' notch rear, a brass tipped hardwood ramrod is included which is difficult to remove with the barrel wedge in place, the edges of the nipple are lightly flared, the rifle is equipped with double set triggers and the action is strong and crisp.
