Thompson Center Renegade AND Pennsylvania Hunter 50 Cal Flintlocks With Everything but Black Powder and Then Some
Description: Born and Raised in Pennsylvania, I hunted and fished there for 47 years.I started flintlock muzzle loading for deer back in 1987. Then back in 2010 my body gave out (4 back operations, 1 heart attack, with 6 stents) so the wife and I moved to Florida to get away from the cold. Florida Sportsmen only have a 3 day muzzleloading deer season where any rifle that loads from the muzzle is legal, and so they hunt deer using those fancy high tech scoped tack drivers and would not dream of hunting with a flintlock. For the last ten years I have kept my flintlocks and accouterments in the gun cabinet. I am not going to the bother to hunt a three day season and hunting when the temperature is 85 degrees out side. The warmth keeps my ailments at bay but I miss hunting in Pa for deer with the flintlock something fierce. By the way there is no fresh water fishing for trout in Florida either. So I am listing all of my flintlock goodies in hopes that it all gets put to good use back in Pennsylvania. This listing is for a Thompson Center Renegade 50 Cal Flintlock Muzzle Loader with a set trigger, a Thompson Center Pennsylvania Hunter 50 Cal Flintlock Muzzle Loader with sling. I harvested 8 doe and 1 buck with the Renegade and my wife harvested 1 doe with the Pa Hunter. Now lets start with the accouterments: round balls, buffalo bullets, Buffalo Powder Horn, brass powder flask, 3 pan primers, pillow ticking patches, a pile of flints, 4 ball starters, 1 fancy leather possibles bag with deer antler accessories, 1 converted US Army gas mask possibles bag (I like it better than the fancy leather bag), cleaning jags, ball puller, barrel base scraper, cleaning rod, a CO2 device to unload the smoke pole without shooting it, (You shoot a muzzle loader once and you gotta clean it), Spare ramrod for the Pa Hunter, containers for premeasured loads, leather ball pouch, 2 touch hole cleaners and pan cleaner, Leather pouch with more flints, Leather frizzen cover on each flintlock, Schrade Walden N.Y. USA Hunting Knife, booklet for the Renegade, and other odds and ends. I wish I could ship the powder because I have a few pounds of FFF and FFFF. So there you have it. These smoke poles are ready to head back home to good ole Pennsylvania to put some more venison in the freezer.
