The compass utilizes a 3-lug bolt design for a dependable lock up, while providing a 60° bolt lift to ensure fast, smooth cycling of the action. The lightweight synthetic stock has aluminum pillar bedding to provide a solid platform for the receiver while free floating the barrel for consistent accuracy. Contours and texturing on the stock provide a sure grip, and a rubber recoil pad minimizes felt recoil to keep you on target. The trigger is easily adjustable by the user to obtain preferred weight-of-pull with minimum over-travel. The Compass comes with a Thompson/Center match grade barrel with 5R rifling that delivers precision accuracy. A 3-position safety allows the rifle to be loaded and unloaded with the safety engaged.
